Fees accounted for just 0.31% of block rewards that day, marking the second-lowest reading since July 2016. Network-wide fee revenue came in at about 1.4 BTC, or roughly $116,000, while block subsidy income was about 450 BTC per day, equivalent to around $37.59 million. On that basis, 99.7% of miner revenue came from the block subsidy rather than transaction fees. The report also said the ratio has stayed below 1% for 51 straight days. Among the 10 lowest trading days on record for this metric, eight occurred in 2026. For comparison, the ratio reached 43.57% on Dec. 22, 2017. It later climbed to 75.44% on April 20, 2024, the day of Bitcoin’s halving and the launch of Runes.300
